DART Celebrates 25 Years of Rail Service

Longest Gentle Rain System In The Nation

On Monday, June 14, Dallas Space Speedy Transit (DART) celebrates 25 years of offering mild rail service to the residents of North Texas.

The DART mild rail system debuted on June 14, 1996. The unique starter system was 11.2 miles lengthy, with Blue Line service between Illinois Station and Pearl/Arts District Station, and Pink Line service between Westmoreland Station and Pearl/Arts District Station.

Over the past 25 years, the DART mild rail system has grown right into a 93-mile, 65 station community – the longest mild rail system within the nation – bettering the standard of life for all North Texas residents, and offering entry to larger mobility choices to jobs, well being care and even academic alternatives.

As a part of the celebration, DART is providing riders the chance to win 25 days of free rides. Individuals who share a photograph on social media of themselves using DART rail or explaining how DART rail advantages them are entered to win. Remember to embody #DARTRail25 to be included within the drawings. Click on right here for extra data.
