Midlothian Metropolis Council Strikes Ahead With Lawson District Improvement Group
Following a Metropolis Council Workshop held on Wednesday night, July 21, 2021, Midlothian Metropolis Council directed workers to enter into negotiations with the Lawson District Improvement Group to develop the 2 properties at 301 and 211 West Major Road, referred to as the Lawson Buildings.
On the workshop, councilmembers reviewed three proposals submitted, because of a request for proposals that was issued in April. “That is simply step one within the plan formation course of,” defined Clyde Melick, Midlothian’s assistant metropolis supervisor. It’s hoped that the group will be capable to additional develop the proposal offered that included a combination of eating places, industrial, and retail area, together with parking.
